Trust
Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.
As we begin a new year, we must have at the foundation of our faith an absolute trust that "God's got me." In the Scripture we are focusing on there are 3 areas we must look at. Our first, we must place our trust in Him-- our understanding, many times is flawed and shallow. Paul prayed for the saints in Ephesus for their eyes of their understanding may be flooded with light-- enlightened, to be able to know in a greater realm God's will (Ephesians 1:18). The second, in every way, acknowledge Him. Pull Him into every prayer and desire for your life. Include Him, even if you feel you don't need His direction, still bring Him into your prayer life, it's just a way of recognizing His involvement in your life. The third area we see is He will direct your steps. Directing your steps means you are already in motion. There is an old saying that says, "God cannot steer a parked car." Do what He has already directed you to do, (Psalms 37:23). Even if it's continuing to attend church, reading your Bible and prayer. These are the basics we should all be doing. As you move forward, He will continue to guide and uphold you. In a time where we all seem to face trials, few things made sense and many times loss seems to affect our lives and yes, the hurt is real, yet I know I can trust Him (2 Timothy 1:12). Choose to trust in who you know He is, trust His character, knowing that He is our merciful and faithful High Priest that understands everything I face in life (Hebrews 2:17-18, 4:15-16). I trust that those who strengthen their intimacy with Him this year will continue to be secure and dwell in His peace. And yes He will continue to guide your path.

“Choose to trust in who you know He is.” Amen!!! He is a good good father ❤️
