Red Letters: Glorious Mountain - Pastor Josiah Elias

Writer: design97004design97004

This Sunday Pastor Josiah walked us through Matthew 17:1 where Jesus leads Peter, James and John to be alone. In these verses we are able to see how God can use are highs and lows for His Glory. Pastor emphasizes how our mistakes don’t disqualify us. God has mercy and He calls us up. We don’t need to get clean before going to God, rather we go to God to get clean. Pastor encourages us to not believe the lie that we are disqualified due to our mistakes. The word of God says Jesus’ blood washes us clean ( Ephesians 2:13, Hebrews 10:19-22). Therefore we are able to come boldly to the throne (Hebrews 4:16).

Pastor uses the metaphor of Christian’s being like butterflies crawling around on the floor like caterpillars to depict our lack of understanding of our identity in Christ.

We are made in His image. We are the light of the world. We are cleansed. We are forgiven.

When we’re not acting in accordance with our identity we can realign ourselves back into who God created us to be . Pastor encourages us to get back into a place of conviction and realize that God is still calling us up to high places with Him.

Get up, don’t be afraid and get to the top of the mountain with God.
