1John 4:17-19 NLT

“17. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can have him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 18. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we ave not fully experienced his perfect love. 19. We love each other because he first loved us.”

God’s love is not something we earn it is something we receive, experience, and reflect. When we live rooted in the Father’s love, fear loses its power, confidence replaces shame, and our lives begin to look like Jesus.

The apostle John reminds us that love matures as we live in God. Perfect love doesn’t mean flawless people, it means fully secure sons and daughters.

Perfect Love Produces Confidence, Not Fear

Fear thrives where love is misunderstood. When we see God primarily as a judge or some distant god in the cosmos instead of a Father, fear grows. But when we know Him as ABBA, confidence take root in our heart.

Reflect: Where has fear been shaping my decisions more than love?

We Live Like Jesus When We Know Who We Belong To

The apostle John says we can have confidence because we live like Jesus in this world. Jesus lived fearless, not because circumstances were easy, but because He knew the Father intimately.

Identity always comes before behavior. This is the main way we overcome sin!

Reflect: Do I relate to God more as a servant trying to please Him, or as a child who is already loved?

We Love Because He Loved First

We were born with an innate desire to love and be loved, ultimately we respond to love. It was woven into our DNA a God sized hole that only he can fill through His perfect love.

Revival is not going to be sustained by hype or effort but by people deeply convinced they are loved by God. Our identity will be found in Him always.

Reflect: Am I loving others from overflow, or from obligation?

Prayer: Father we thank you for sending Jesus Christ to Die for us. I thank you that you first loved us and sent your only son to die for us. I thank you God almighty that before the foundations of the earth you always had a plan to bring us back into relationship with you. You are truly ABBA Father. YahWeh, when I think about you Lord as who you are, I see you as a loving Father. I pray that everyone would get to know you intimately as a Father. That, how Jesus prayed for us we would be in Him as He is in you God I ask You to soften people hearts this year. Lord as we steward revival In this house I ask you that Your people would know Your loving mercies endure forever. God that our love would grow more perfect in us as we find our identity in You. Lord we cast out all fear in Jesus name and that people who truly haven’t experienced your perfect love would do so in this house. Lord we only want to point them to you and live like you Jesus. Lord we give you all the Honor and Glory Amen.
